A couple issues, like playtime being pretty subjective and Eclipse showing up twice in the same category, but still pretty cool.
I don’t even think Eclipse is that weighty or even that long. It’s certainly no Twilight Imperium which, in my experience, took a full day to play through.
I guess the problem with eclipse is the playtime is pretty linear with player count and it plays up to 6, which would massively inflate the stated playtime. I certainly agree it’s not as complex as it’s rating would suggest.
Ahh I’ve only played eclipse with 3 people and it was a sub 2 hour game
I envy people who can play games fast with their groups. Often I can like a game but if it takes more time than it feels like it is worth it is hard to find space for it.
Now I don’t play much any more since moving away from my group but when we get together I am always amazed that some of them still don’t think of their turn before it’s time to make a move. At least have a general idea of what you want to do.
Interesting to see Frosthaven bering one category higher then Gloomhaven in time and weight
