I really wanted to visit the US in the nineties but I couldn’t really afford it. After 2001 with the Patriot Act and all that bullshit that basically amounted to a complete abolition of the rule of law, I changed my mind. I really hope sanity returns there some day but I’ll probably be dead by then.
