I hate getting this hand so fucking much
Annoying. It’s just full house bait, but whatever pair you choose to discard, you better believe you’ll get the third card for it on your next draw.
Yeah, full house from two pairs is a bait. I only go for them when I happen to draw a three of a kind (or when my deck is already skewed towards it), since finding a random pair is much more consistent.
You are spot on. At that point the game is sending a message which could be interpreted as “Go Fuck Yourself”. I always play chicken and double down on the full house play even if it fucks the run. Gotta hedge the bets and discard two of the lowest value pairs out of the four pairs just to bait statistics into maybe giving you a third of the higher two remaining pairs.
Not odd
Sounds like you need the Skipping Straught Joker and the one that let’s you make straights with 4 cards instead of 5.
Shortcut & Four Fingers.
I’ve been trying to learn the actual names of the jokers instead of just describing them.
…it’s difficult.
I agree. It’s funny, though. I remember the original 151 pokemon without trouble. This new 150 data set, however… I’m gonna struggle in another 30 years.
I think my issue is they’re so similar. The difference between Spiteful, Wrathful, Crazy, etc. is very minimal compared to Bulbasaur and Mr. Mime.
I call this one “I wish negative playing cards were a thing”. Though with mods, they are, I think.
Check out Dungeons and Degenerate Gamblers! It’s a blackjack Roguelike, and has all kinds of crazy cards, including negatives
That reminds me, I really got to check out the mods.
Pair-stairs evens only. Too bad that isn’t a real hand in anything. Though “stairs” or “ladders” or (boring) “sequences of pairs” are valid in some climbing games including the commercial version, Tichu.
Man, a tichu mod of balatro would be wild!
I always call it four pair.
Skip straight: Also called alternate straight, Dutch straight, skipper, or kangaroo straight, Cards are in consecutive order, skipping every second rank (example 3-5-7-9-J).

Oh, except you only have 4…
