I think the cruelty of “living” conditions and slaughtering in the chicken industry business are so extreme, that go beyond eating or not animals in general.
That’s why there are direct action activist groups. But usually people don’t find the time and motivation for such radical actions in their life, or don’t want to commit crimes. Which is fine. When you still want to contribute to the betterment of how animals are treated, stopping to eat them is a great measure and can be quite easily and consequently done.
However, this:
is garbage. You cannot be a “trailblazer” for animal welfare while killing them for consumption.
