Hi, since I got a better job recently, I wanted to give some money every month to the various organizations available out there. I have found:
My question is: on the u24 web site, I can send money through PayPal for most aids (humanitarian, medical, etc.) EXCEPT for the defense fund. Does anyone know why? Is it because it funds robots and maybe drones and PayPal would not appreciate that?
I’m asking this question because I have never seen this mentioned anywhere since the start of the war. Thanks for reading.
This is speculation on my part, but I believe PayPal doesn’t want to touch direct military support.
The same thing happened with Patreon, they killed savelife.in.ua’s account around the time of the beginning of the full scale russian invasion.
That’s what I thought. Thanks.
Yeah, I’m guessing Paypal gave Ukraine a hard time about using their service to fund arms procurement. The good thing is you can still pick the credit card option there, or just use Paypal for one of the other categories, it’s all needed!
Thank you for doing your part and helping them!
I want to help for a lot of selfish and personal reasons (but I still want to do something). No need to thank anyone. My plan would be to allocate an amount every month and divide it between all the charities out there because I’m not informed enough to know what is an emergency right now. Giving the same amount to each of the 5 categories of the u24 web site seems easy enough.
On a lighter subject, I’m currently watching the show Servant of the People and it’s amazing to see what happened to this “actor” in just a few years. Zelenskyy will definitely be remembered in history books for what he went through and has done for Ukraine and Europe.
