Top ones I know of these days are siege, but some people have made a case that dead by daylight is pretty bad as well. Like if any of you remember the Xbox 360 Halo days. I think those would pass for toxic today. What do you guys think? Is the most toxic community out there in gaming?

Better yet, what games have the least toxic communities? Games are so much more fun when people support each other and are there to have a good time.

Factorio. The worst criticism you’ll get is “your factory isn’t big enough, it must grow

Love the game and the community.

The Talos Principle A community who share book tips on existential philosophy and the meaning of life. A theme in the game.

FFXIV is very nice in-game, probably the most welcoming and laid-back MMO community

don’t go on youtube or its main subreddit or ffxivdiscussion tho lol, they can be pretty vile

A childhood friend of mine worked as a developer for Riot Games over a decade ago, when League of Legends first became popular. He tried to get me to play it with him, but the community was so toxic, it’s the first and only game I ever quit solely because of the community.

If you didn’t play specific characters with very specific builds, you were just wasting everyone’s time and any losses would be blamed on you. It was really bad.

I love the content and lore that comes from LoL (Arcane, K/DA, etc.), but I can’t stand the game itself.

Yeah what I never got was how did they find new perfect builds if you were not allowed to play the game freely to try new things. I mean I known the answer it was data mining but at that point is it a game or a job and you are just going through the motions. What ever happened to GG and you in something you lose some but we all had fun.

Same in Gaijins other game Enlisted. You see a lot of Nazi references in peoples nicknames like 88, SS and variations of famous leaders names and it’s not uncommon at all to see n-bombs etc in chat.

I guess military games attract a certain crowd? How is that game btw?

Lots of n words in warthunder too, haven’t seen too many nazi references gladly.

Yup, GTA 5 has a very weird community, only encountered either no interaction at all, either killing players on sight

Happened to me once. I just started playing online, went to gun store to buy guns, some player shot me dead. I never played online ever again.

I’ve heard a bunch of people complaining about Valorant, but from my experience it was mostly okay (1-2 years ago at least)
