Trying to finish out my Vivillion medal and would love to make friends from either Ocean and/or Sandstorm regions to help me get there. I’m good for remote raids (barring anything irl that demands my attention, and do my best to stay on top of gifts.

I know there are FB and Discord groups for this but I’m not interested in making another FB account (I’ve deleted it) and the discords I’ve found so far have rules regarding display names. I use discord for other stuff where altering my display name specifically for one group I’ll rarely use wouldn’t be very appropriate. If anyone knows of other potential options to link up with members from these regions I’d love to hear about them!

One thing I’ve done that worked without breaking any rules:

On Campfire go to Map view and tap the Posts filter. Navigate to the region you want and find folks who have posted in that region. Send them a message explaining what you’re trying to do and your Trainer Code. Make friends, exchange gifts, and before you know it you’ll be done

I haven’t tried this in campfire yet, thanks for the tip!

Discord lets you change display name per-server for free. You can still be justsomeguysdisplayname to most people, and be GroupName for that one server.

Thanks for the info! Last time I changed it, it changed across all the servers im on, sounds like an improvement I didn’t notice slip right by me. That opens up a lot of options to accomplish my goal!
