Switched from my old (tethered) Ferris Sweep to a bigger (4 more keys) GEIST TOTEM with dongle. I even did some tinkering/updating.

  • made the body a bit bigger to support a bigger battery
  • updated the 3d model to print with minimum supports
  • embedded magnets to allow snapping the halves together for transport

on the left half you see some magnets stuck on it as spacers and to show where I put them.

    Very cool. How do you like those switches? I always found that the low profile ones seem to bind a bit when pressed off axis, but it’s been a while since I tried them.

      I’m a sucker for low profile… The Kaihl choc v2 are working pretty good. No binding on these. Also the idea to build it with sockets (unlike the Ferris sweep) already payed off. I tried the 20 grams linear ones and had to switch to 50 grams. I sometimes pressed switches when simply resting my hands on the keyboard. But you can account that to user error. ;)
