Summary

It tells us that, we live in a country and a world, where evil entitled assholes, drastically outweigh the people doing the right thing.
In a perfect world, Whistleblowers would be praised, Snowden would get a Medal of Freedom and insurrectionists would be jailed or put to death for traitorous crimes of old.
But, reality doesn’t agree with that, whistlerblowers are committing suicide, Snowden is permanently in Russia because he’d likely be in prison by the US and insurrectionists are pardoned.

Capitalism is a worldwide problem, but in the USA Citizens United was a significant step. When it happened everyone said that it was only a matter of time before democracy collapsed in the USA and the billionaires had complete power. It seems the predictions were right.

no, religion didn’t cause this, but the capacity to believe something to be true just you want it to be true (faith)–and no one’s allowed to criticize your “sincerely held religious beliefs”-- 100% allowed this to happen

Hey, so, just to be clear: days before he “committed suicide”, he specifically and clearly told friends that he was absolutely not in a self-harming mental state, and had no intention whatsoever to self-harm or commit suicide
Which is to say: I absolutely do not believe the official report that his death was a suicide
When we kill CEOs it’s domestic terrorism. When they kill us it’s suicide.

Making someone kill themselves is an American go-to for murder. It’s on purpose. I think it happens a lot.
Expressed condolences, more like their way of saying “thanks for not taking this very far, buddy”. This is disgraceful.
