Atlas can carry 27 Kuiper satellites
Bit of a coincidence that 27 is also the number of Starlink satellites that Falcon 9 currently seems to be launching (out of Vandenberg) each time.
Kuiper finally actually launching is big for the market. Starlink was such a turning point for Falcon hitting an insane launch cadence. Kuiper is the Prince That Was Promised to push ULA, Ariane, and Blue to pick up the pace.
Imagine if we get Vulcan, Ariane 6, and New Glenn launches at the pace of current Starlink launches!
i think for Ariane 6 the marginal cost of a launch is simply still too high to ever get to those numbers. Maybe Ariane 7 will be better in that regard, assuming they manage to make the boosters reusable.
I’m not high enough to imagine that. I’d settle for them each launching monthly.
