There are only 3 possible scenarios:
- impeachment and removal
- totalitarian dictatorship
- civil war
Jon Ossoff prefers #1

If he dies the problem continues led by Vance
the two coup options you mention are types of civil war
if someone else is elected in 2028 he’ll claim it was rigged and do another January 6th, but this time he will not fail. That will be the start of #2

Hmmmm… yeah, sure, Coups don’t start armed conflicts, nor do they start millitary dictatorships… 2 of the options I listed.
There are really only 3 ways this can end. You think Vance will be a weak dictator. Cool. but that’s totally irrelevant.
You’re quibbling over bullshit. Why bother?
#1 is not an option while Repiblicans control the House and Democrats have less than 60 votes in the Senate. Impeachment will not move forward.
Even if it does, you still need 67 to convict and remove, but at this point, it can’t even get to that vote.
Things are changing very fast. The economy is collapsing Voters are pissed off. Rich donors are pissed off. Just because an idea is short a few votes now, does not mean everything will be the same in 6, 12, or 18 months.
The most important thing is to try. One surefire way to guarantee an orange fascist dictatorship is to declare defeat before we even start. He would love nothing more than that.
The next election is 2026, every House seat and 33 Senate seats. That will put pressure on everyone to do something, but it’s still 17 months away and we’ve seen what Trump has done in 3.
events don’t put pressure on people
only people can put pressure on people
