One of my cousins (another grandchild of hers), is left-handed. It sounds so absurd that it would be a “problem” that required anyone to beat them so they’d write with their other hand.
I remember that being a plot point in a Power Rangers episode. :P The confusion between “sinister” and “left”. That’s how I first learned it meant the same.
From your link, I find it super interesting that “dexter” is the opposite. In Spanish, there’s the word “diestro”, which I bet comes from that.
