With the way Lemmy is growing, new interesting communities will be popping up often and I would like to catch popular posts by communities that are completely off my radar. There are however some communities that’s have no interest to me. For example, I could care less about any /memes community, but they clog up the feed when I’m browsing All Federated communities.

Question is, is there anyway to show all posts from Federated instances minus communities that I have turned off?

You can browse by all / new, and you can block specific communities (at least in jerboa you can, not sure about other apps)

Assuming you are on the desktop website:

    1. Browse to the community you want to block
    2. Click the big red Block Community button in the sidebar

A bug is currently causing the block and subscribe buttons to not always be selectable. If you encounter this, just click on the community title in the sidebar to refresh the page contents and the buttons should then be available.
