edit - hyperlinks added, if you click a community and it doesn’t link you to the proper place please comment and let me know so I can fix it
I have a suggestion about the team links in this post and c/nba side panel.
In addition to linking like this example:
Add a link like this:
[c/celtics](/c/celtics@lemmy.ml)
Which results in the following link:
c/celtics
Why? Because this will ensure that the user is taken to the community while staying in their own instance, thus being able to subscribe.
Yeah, I’ve been meaning to hyperlink I’ve just been a bit lazy lol. I’ll work on it now
Yeah, it’s gonna be very cumbersome until we get better tools. Hopefully in future lemmy just autotranslates simple c/<community>@<instance> as a link in current instance.
Just hyperlinked them all, if you try any and they don’t bring you to the proper place lmk so I can fix it
Doesn’t work. It needs to be edited like this:
[c/celtics](https://lemmy.ml/c/celtics) INCORRECT [c/celtics](/c/celtics@lemmy.ml)
Don’t worry too much about it. It’s just a minor detail. You can do it later.
All of the other ones seem to be working, I think it’s just the Celtics community but I changed it to what you’ve sent.
It just seems that way to you, because they are in the same instance as you (lemmy.world). Celtics was exception, because it’s the only one in a different instance (lemmy.ml). For any one who is not from lemmy.world all the other team links won’t work. Like me (lemm.ee). I mean, they will work, but they will take people to lemmy.world instance, where they are not logged in and can’t subscribe.
Ah, I see the issue now. If I mod you up would you be interested in handling it?
No need, I did it in vim. You can just copy this. I’m not very active to be a mod.
Boston Celtics - [c/celtics](/c/celtics@lemmy.ml) \ Cleveland Cavaliers - [c/cavaliers](/c/cavaliers@lemmy.world) \ Dallas Mavericks - [c/mavericks](/c/mavericks@lemmy.world) \ Denver Nuggets - [c/nuggets](/c/nuggets@lemmy.world) \ Detroit Pistons - [c/detroitpistons](/c/detroitpistons@lemmy.world) \ Golden State Warriors - [c/warriors](/c/warriors@lemmy.world) \ Los Angeles Clippers - [laclippers](/c/laclippers@lemmy.world) \ Los Angeles Lakers - [c/lakers](http://lemmy.world/c/[email protected]) \ Minnesota Timberwolves - [c/timberwolves](/c/timberwolves@lemmy.world) \ New Orleans Pelicans - [c/nolapelicans](/c/nolapelicans@lemmy.world) \ New York Knicks - [c/nyknicks](/c/nyknicks@lemmy.world) \ Oklahoma City Thunder - [c/thunder](/c/thunder@lemmy.world) \ Philadelphia Sixers - [c/sixers](/c/sixers@lemmy.world) \ Phoenix Suns - [c/suns](/c/suns@lemmy.world) \ Portland Trailblazers - [c/ripcity](/c/ripcity@lemmy.world) \ Sacramento Kings - [c/sacramentokings](/c/sacramentokings@lemmy.death916.xyz) \ San Antonio Spurs - [c/nba_spurs](/c/nba_spurs@lemm.ee) \ Toronto Raptors - [c/torontoraptors](/c/torontoraptors@lemmy.world) \ Utah Jazz - [c/utahjazz](/c/utahjazz@lemmy.world) \ Washington Wizards - [c/washingtonwizards](/c/washingtonwizards@lemmy.world)
But I’ve come to know that for people that use Jerboa app to browse Lemmy, these links crash it.

Yea, I’ve been struggling with this for a couple of days too. At the moment, only the Celtics one is linked properly. Probably because it’s on lemmy.ml. The others take me to lemmy.world (or death916.xyz for the Kings), outside of my instance, so I can’t join the community.
It’s a tedious work in progress. I’m sure OP will correct the links eventually. Or maybe hopefully we’ll get an overall lemmy fix soon that autotranslates links.
