Everyone wants to appear as if they care for the climate, yet deliberately delay their plans for green energy. It’s like you said, we always blame China yet they usually do shit pretty fast. Exactly, here I am in the UK and just this morning the prime minister announced a roll back on the pledges for onshore wind because they want to appeal to the NIMBY’s. Does my head in.

I’m even suspicious if China building renewables has that much to do with climate. Maybe they rather care about cheap energy and energy independence. Which in themselves are two great reasons. For western countries, add recognition of climate urgency, and it becomes even more incomprehensible why this is such a political issue.
