You can try to explain to them that if their preferred combatant won, they themselves would be executed for being queer, but they will simply ignore you. Tankies, like all extremists, are lonely people who lack friends or social life, so instead of looking inward in an attempt to improve themselves, they blame the world, latching onto communities that encourage such bigotry, that tell them that ‘They’re not wrong or hateful, it’s the world that’s wrong and hateful’
