Explain the joke pls.
It’s a troupe of boy scouts. Their motto is to “always be prepared”
I think there’s another element that goes with your explanation:
Perhaps that they read the sign and the scoutmaster followed right along, watching kids get stuck.
OR that they approached from the other side and couldn’t read the sign, and the kids followed the scoutmaster
It’s definitely the latter…
OH! I thought those were bags lined up behind the hat.
I think these are the best kind of Far Sides. When you’re just presented with the punchline and you have to play scene-of-the-joke investigator to uncover the setup.
