Let me start off this community with the most anticipated question ;-)

Which of the following emails do you use? and why?

Gmail
Hotmail
Yahoo Mail
FastMail
ProtonMail
Tutanota
Mailfence
StartMail
Posteo
mailbox.org
Skiff Mail

If you’re not familiar with some of them, that’s great as you can start exploring them! Most of them offer free account albeit some of them are fremium based, so why not give them a try!

Main is ProtonMail + SimpleLogin. The ability to have a 100% spam free main adress in addition to unlimited aliases for bullshit-signups (which you can delete any time) is just killer. Also I was a member when the (imo) glorious domain “pm.me” was still available. I just love how short and simple it is to give to people :-D

Using it on Thunderbird with ProtonBridge and on my android.

I also have some random gmail and gmx adresses which I’m too lazy to delete (or rather, migrate every website away from that emailprovider and to a protonMail alias).

Maybe I’m a pleeb or something but I use outlook as my main “adulting” email. I have an older hotmail account that I use more for spam and one off sign ups.

Love that I can use my outlook app and have both come through on it.

And I do have a gmail account out of necessity for google sheets, google drive, and whatever else you have to use google for some reason. But I never use it otherwise. Hate the user interface.

I have my own domain. It’s very cheap to do. Everything I register with gets a different email address. Makes it easy to see who my spam is coming from.

Fastmail and Gmail. I can use them both together with Blue mail app on Android.

I like the very short address I have on Fastmail.

I host my own email server. Seems safest this way, although it takes some effort to make sure everything is set up properly and securely.

But yeah, I use Hotmail and Gmail also for casual stuff.
