Is there an equivalent to doing /u/user in The Bad Place, to notify and summon someone?

@[email protected] is correct. It doesn’t seem to work in Jeroba, but it does in a web browser. As you start typing the user’s name a pop-up menu will appear.
Far as I understand, there isn’t a way to do that. Federated usernames work essentially like an email address because of the decentralized nature of the service. If I type
@sparky@lemmy.federate.ccit won’t send you a notification, but it will link your profile.At least I think that’s how it works. Who wants to jump in and point out all the ways I’m wrong?
I have definitely received a mention notification on Jerboa when someone mentioned me like that.
