We all know that RTD considers Torchwood as his special property, and that he can’t hire Barrowman again, since Barrowman’s on the BBC “Do Not Hire” list, so it would make sense to bring The Doctor Donna in to be their alien expert. I mean obviously they’ll come up with some reason why her being with the Doctor doesn’t make her brain fry, so there’s no reason to not bring her into Torchwood.
It may not even be Catherine Tate, as part of keeping her brain from becoming scrambled may involve making her regenerate, so it could be an all new face, and actress, for Donna on Torchwood.
What do you all think?
How did Barrowman piss off the BBC?
I’d not heard anything about this so I did some googling. Its…not good. He, uhm, well, he wiggled his willy around. At people. More than once.
He told The Guardian his “high-spirited behaviour” was “only ever intended in good humour to entertain colleagues on set and backstage”.
What sort of world do we live in where exposing your genitals to co-workers is considered somehow wrong?
Doing it once, with someone you know well, I could see it as a joke. But multiple times on multiple shows in 2 countries? Sounds like somebody developed a fetish.
BARROWMAN!!
Oh yikes. When will people learn? Seriously, it’s not that hard to not do these things.
Same, like I remember hearing he did something problematic, but I don’t remember what. And I had no idea it was severe enough to get blacklisted.
I think it would be fantastic on all levels. I would absolutely enjoy more Torchwood and any form of Donna would be an excellent thing.
Oh god, I briefly confused Davies with Moffat. Could not imagine why they’d put that man back in charge of anything. He’s one of those people - much like the late Joel Schumacher - who is immensely talented and has considerable range and simply cannot be trusted. Do not give him final say over any damn thing. He makes bizarre decisions sometimes, and they’re reliably the same bizarre decisions, and if nobody’s allowed to just say no then he’s gonna do it no matter how many or how vehemently people advise against.
