Just loaded up Halo Infinite on PopOS and it ran flawlessly. I’m blown away, and am now looking at moving up my plans to switch away from Windows for my desktop. The future of Linux gaming is bright!

Wine has come a long way! Though Linux-native gaming is not on AAA studios’ radar…
I wasn’t even using Wine. I installed it and launched through Steam and the entire process was as seamless as if it were on Windows. Valve is doing great work.
Steam used proton which is a modified version of Wine
Well, Steam uses its Wine fork, Proton, under the hood (for non-native games). Nice to hear it’s seamless (I’m too far into having customised everything to know what the out-of-the-box experience is like)!
Steam has added a lot for the Linux community.
I know it’s proprietary but I love them for it.
