Just post here. Fuck reddit
Your selfish “protest” is doing nothing but hurting a niche community. If YOU don’t like reddit then YOU should stop using it. Corpos will always make greedy decisions. So the API crap was nothing surprising. Leagueoflinux is not the mods subreddit, its the community’s. Therefore, you and the mods have no right to rob the community of what’s ours. Stop hurting others for your opinion.
Your selfish “protest” is doing nothing but hurting a niche community.
Please tell me why is it selfish?
Corpos will always make greedy decisions.
That’s why we are trying to show a better path for the people on reddit. Why to stick with shit corp practices when you can be free of those shackles?
It isn’t your subreddit, it’s Reddit’s subreddit and they stated this very clearly. If a corporation can afford to be as greedy as Reddit is, there must be clearly something wrong with their customers when the still do business with them…
I could somewhat understand it if we would be talking about essential goods, but certainly not a forum conglomeration.
Back then I quit Reddit after deleting every single post and comment that I every made on both of my accounts. Unfortunately most people just have no backbone and just give up at the slightest inconvenience. Just imagine the one abusing you isn’t some random forum conglomertaion, but something actually important in your life.Make a new sub reddit then. This community board and the website work perfectly fine to distribute information.
Riot try not to break the client with balance changes level impossible
Just open the damn subreddit this community here is dead AF, no one posts! The website is also out of date, why are the mods so stubborn?
I don’t think the community is dead, it’s just that the game was working really, really well on Linux (and I guess even on windows) these past few patches
Nobody comes here or the official subreddit to celebrate this very often because we know things such as this can happen out of nowhere
But if there’s one thing that brings communities together very quickly, it’s things going wrong; And here we all are!Really quick edit because I forgot to talk about it: yeah, the website does need more work and maybe a few more helping hands; We should make a thread here to talk about it
Here we all are? The game is completely broken and that amounts to, what, 25-30 comments across a whopping 2 threads? The community has clearly taken a mortal blow, and everyone sees exactly why that is. The platform shouldn’t belong to the mods, it should be something that the mods are there to protect for the sake of its users. Instead they have used it to wage their own holy wars at the cost of the community. To quote Shrek (2001):
“Many of you will die, but that is a sacrifice I am willing to make”
But hey regardless of what I or anyone else thinks about this, acenomad already wrote this yesterday on the megathread:
“A further more detailed announcement will follow as well as the eventual full reopening of the subreddit.”
So you know, chill, I’m ok with it
The subreddit had about the same amount of posts if not less
The fuck are you on? The temporary opened megathread reached 190+ and youre still here in the low double digits. AND this is AFTER closing the subreddit for like half a year. AND to make shit even worse, some users here are multi-posting in an obvious pathetic attempt to boost reply numbers. Your kind shitted on and fucked our community really well. Hope your “protest” gave you some good main character syndrome euphoria, scum
Instead they have used it to wage their own holy wars at the cost of the community.
LOL. How dramatic.
Dude, WHY are you so devoted to reddit? It is not the mods own problem, it is everyones problem. The internet is becoming everyday more walled and worst for everyone because people give away their freedom to be in sites like reddit, instagram, twitter.
I’m not devoted to reddit at all. It’s the mods who are so devoted to reddit, that they will happily cripple an entire community just to make a statement about some business decisions made on that platform. How can you not see that?
This issue was never fixed on pbe. maybe mods just don’t have pbe accounts?? I thoroughly disagree with them re-closing the subreddit. this could have had at least some helpful information much earlier. this “protest” has done nothing but hurt our own ability to address problems by half-baking a rule of “we will only open the sub when the absolute worst happens.” Well here’s the absolute worst…
Same, client works but as soon as i wanna play it instantly throws me out to client with reconnect button available
there are people trying to debug the issue on GE’s discord. but i have to agree, the community has really died out after the sub closed.
Can you link the Discord please?
Here is the link from ge’s website https://discord.gg/6y3BdzC
Same here: Game does not launch (client works fine tho). Stuck on Reconnect
Same here. Stuck on reconnect. Clicking it does nothing
Note: This does NOT seem to be like last time where a sizeable chunk of the windows community is crashing too. If you look at the bug megathread almost everyone reporting crashing is using linux
Registered an account here just to say this. Experiencing the same issue as everyone else, the client works but cannot get into a game. Reopen the subreddit, as promised.
Can confirm. Game is broken.
Any ideas on fixes already?
Report to the Bug Megathread pls: https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/18094qx/patch_1323_bug_megathread/
Guys, has anyone found a fix or is working on it?
Or will the LoL developers themselves solve this problem with a new patch?I also want to know
Note: The “!” indicator next to the play button on the client says they’re working on a problem with champion select, maybe they’re talking about this, maybe notI don’t think so.
On Windows there is a problem with selecting a character, but on Linux this problem does not exist, it continues when the character is already selected and the game should launch another window.
Same here, anyone knows if this bug is awready fixed?
It’s not fixed as far as I know.
Can also confirm. We really need the bulk of the leagueoflinux support community to fix this again I feel. Major breakage
Anyone know if “vkd3d-proton:vkd3d_instance_init: Vulkan 1.3 not supported by loader.” is related to the “A critical error occurred”? On ubuntu 20 using lutris
