Speculation at the time was it was a gun with lazer sight and more liberal gun play. Then the silver ban news came out shortly after. But grain of salt its all NBA rumors until reported.

My guess? They confirmed that the red laser pointed at the Pacers team members was an actual laser sight. Actively threatening other teams’ players sounds like the type of thing that would finally cause Silver to come down hard.
