It is. Located in the north central-ish of the state.
First I hear of flooding in Montpellier… And I live like an hour drive from it. What’s that? USA?
Oh right…That’s amazing - and just from severe rain, not even a tropical storm or nor’easter
insufficient storm drains and/or chronic hydrology mismanagement?
Well, Montpelier does desperately need its plumbing updated, but this was a state wide occurrence. We’ve had nearly a month of straight rain, then Sunday night into Monday night SUPER heavy downpours. The ground is so saturated and the waterways/rivers/dams so full, there was no place else for water to go.
