For me the line was the HyperLoop. It was such a dumb idea and so obviously designed to distract from high speed rail projects. But most egregiously, it was an idea that had been tried and abandoned multiple times previously.

Corn syrup stays sticky at room temp and is easier to clean out of the carpet.
They exist and are being protested too.
Air is more stuff than you would think. If you were able to isolate a cylinder of air around the Eiffel Tower the air would weigh more than the tower.
People already say the same about Photoshop and people already don’t believe them.
Fun fact: US trademarks (and copyrights) are only enforceable in other countries through the trade agreements currently being shredded…
In general, electric cars aren’t here to save the environment they are here to save the car industry.
They don’t want non-whites to survive. This is a feature not a bug.
There is a certain group of people in the US that continue to give special treatment to Israel because they believe that helping Israel “restore” itself will more quickly bring the rapture and Armageddon. Interestingly enough this belief tends to include the idea that Jews and Muslims won’t survive the ensuing necessary war.
He also quite famously told Carrie Fisher that she couldn’t wear a bra…
No need to bet, they already started.
For whatever reason, baby boomers didn’t become that way, they have always been self absorbed pricks.
They are absolutely not a 3PL (3rd party logistics) provider. When I get something through UPS or even a LTL service like Saia they don’t put their name on the receipt and I sure as fuck don’t go to their website for a return or to order the item in the first place.
Biden is like Zaphod Bebblebrox, he had his brain split into two. But the older he gets the less he can control which part is talking.
9/11 helped but by that point Christian nationalists had already spent the 20 years since Regan tying patriotism to faith.
I didn’t say that. What I said was if you change “monopoly” for “anticompetitive practices” my question still stands. “How is it different from how Nintendo acts with the Switch?” Keeping in mind that I had already conceded that better smartwatch access made sense.
While I appreciate semantic clarity as much as anybody else I’m not sure it changes my question in this case.
I rarely find myself defending giant corporations but after having looked at the list it seems I am going to have to.
Some of the things do make sense, like allowing other smartwatches the same notification access as Apple Watches. But others like the audio switching seem to lack a fundamental understanding of how that even works.
I keep trying to figure out though what exactly Apple has a monopoly in… they don’t have the largest segment of any market they are in so it makes it seem like the EU is complaining that they have a monopoly on iPhones… which… yes… but that is like saying Nintendo has a monopoly on the Switch.
Edit: I seem to have failed to express the nuance I wanted to. None the less there seem to be some issues with the demands here and I think it will be interesting to see how this pans out.
I admit that a large portion of my international travel knowledge comes from the movie The Terminal, but why couldn’t they just not leave the airport? Like why wasn’t the worst case that the pilot had to wait at the gate for and fly back on the next United flight out of the same airport?
