2·1 day agoThe USA could use a new electoral system with proportional representation and a new constitution with a weaker president and stronger checks and balances. The two party system needs to end. Laws surrounding political advertising and public financing of political parties should be introduced to get some money out of politics.
Replace common law with civil law to no longer depend on precedent so much. Finally introduce the metric system while you’re at it.

Es ist nicht nur Zeit, auch die Fähigkeit.
Psychisch kranke Menschen haben damit teilweise sehr große Probleme. Das führt zu schlechter Ernährung und schlechter physischer Gesundheit und es entsteht eine Abwärtsspirale.
In meinen schlechtesten Zeiten war Erbsensuppe kalt aus der Dose die gesunde Mahlzeit verglichen mit der Alternative Folienkuchen.
Aus eigener Erfahrung kann ich das gut bestätigen, wie finanzielle Mittel sowie geistige und körperliche Gesundheit zusammenhängen.
Das verstärkt sich gegenseitig in beide Richtungen.
Mit Geld kannst du mangelnde Gesundheit nur teilweise kompensieren. Ist man gesund, ist es einfacher finanziell erfolgreich zu sein.
Diese selbsternannten Progressiven sind selbst eigentlich zutiefst bürgerlich mit schlechtem Gewissen. Das war schon immer so.
More of what already works. Keep the masses busy with Disney, Fox, and fast food. Divide the population with wedge issues like abortion, LGBT, guns, etc. Give outsized presence to Trump‘s topics in corporate media. Consolidate media ownership further. Go hard on nationalist and imperialist rhetoric (MAGA). Wave the flag and cross. Blame immigrants. Blame foreigners. Stoke racial tensions. All the while make shitloads of money by manipulating the market and cutting regulation. Run elections but make sure democrats always lose. Depoliticize the population. Start a war. Spread so much crap information that people tune out. Privatize everything, empower billionaires.
If this Russian support structure isn’t recognized and dealt with, Trump just be replaced by the next Russian stooge.
American university students can protest for weeks over Palestine, but don’t show up when their own country is taken over by a fascist.
Europe is learning right now that the American people can’t be trusted.
Sodastream used to have a factory in the West Bank where they employed hundreds of Palestinians. Because of boycott pressure, they moved and hundreds of Palestinian workers lost their jobs.
BDS only cares about hurting Israel, no matter the consequences to Palestinians.

Who do you think controls who can film what and where in Gaza? Hamas of course.
This doesn’t mean everything in the film is a lie, but you shouldn’t take it at face value.
This conflict has a decades oiled propaganda machine on both sides.
