They’re just very comfortable rubber slippers. Passable to wear for a quick run to the shops when you can’t be bothered with shoes.

I’m not at that level of crocs fanatic…. yet haha
My crocs have arrived. I’ve not taken them off since I put them on try, my feet have not known such comfort. I think they just beat out the Birks on the comfort level. More squishy.
Oh damn I’ll be out of town. Next time!
I want one of these for my future cat friend.
A great song. The album this is from (Discovery) is excellent.
Colour is “bone”, it’s like a beige / cream colour.
I’m glad it’s late night so nobody sees this. I just purchased a pair of crocs. How embarrassing but I’m looking forward to the comfort.
I’m halfway through changing my bed, I took a phone break because it’s such a tedious task. Doona stuffing is definitely the worst part. But crispy bed feeling is so good.
Queenstown / Wanaka which I visited a couple months ago - just spectacular, so naturally beautiful. I went mainly for skiing but it would just be as good in summer I reckon. Can do all the hikes and trails without worrying about snow and the views would be even better with clearer weather. Otago wineries, heaps of adventure type activities, you can make a great family holiday. The one downfall is that this area is pretty expensive because it’s very touristy, it’s like holidaying in AU prices.
I also enjoyed Auckland and visiting Rotorua.
Late start today due to crap sleep. Gym done, grass mowed (so much effort, I left it maybe a week too late and paid the price, plus my hayfever was going at it). Quick arvo coffee before cleaning the shower and bathroom, then I can relax.
Doesn’t matter the reason for your termination, you always get your annual leave paid out. Did they ask you not to work out your notice period? Because then you should get that paid out too on top of leave, depends on why you were terminated though. Check Fair Work website to make sure you got paid everything you are entitled to.
Tired from my labours, but finally sitting down to relax before bed. I’m rewatching Seinfeld, have needed a comfort show lately. Something I’ve watched before but enjoy watching again, requires not much concentration and is from a simpler time.
Tell me your comfort show (if you have one).
Welcome back!
Terrible morning. Woke up late, by the time I was ready to leave home I was going to miss the next train and the one after that wasn’t for 25 minutes for some reason. Got to train station only to realise that I left my laptop charger at home. Had to watch the train go by that I would now miss. Back home, then back to station, just made the next train. When I got to Parliament to catch a tram to my co-working office, there was a protest happening so all trams going in the direction I needed to go were stuck. I then had to walk 25 minutes from the city, carrying two bags mind you. It was really comical how nothing lined up for me today. On the bright side, I got a lot of steps in this morning and had a really good coffee once I finally arrived.
In a few weeks, I’ll be staying at a hotel with a buffet breakfast included in the stay price. This hotel doesn’t come cheap, so I feel it’s my duty to squeeze every bit of value out of the price.
Is it wrong if I take a few items away from the buffet for later enjoyment? I won’t be obvious about it - the take away items will be hidden in a tote bag I’ll bring in with me. Easy things to take away - some pastries, fruit, not hot food. I’ve never done this before, but planning how to get away with it has been exciting.
Aldi cream cheese (Westacre brand I think), better than any of the name brands at Woolies. The consistency is just right.
Some days I have a pep in my step, today there is no pep. Feel like I’m just dragging myself around to do the things I need to do and no motivation for work.
This mood calls for happy songs playlist and a nice walk in the sun.
I find it odd the LL is at the inspection if he has a REA managing the property? And the whole interaction, yikes. The LL will probably have keys. Stay the hell away!
Back from one week holiday. Really enjoyed seeing another corner of our beautiful country, even if it is super expensive to travel locally. Highlight was visiting Whitehaven Beach, I’ve never seen ocean water so blue.
On the to-do list today is holiday laundry, grocery shopping as my fridge is empty, gym session and catching up on many work emails.
