You know how, in the US, imitating a Chinese accent is often considered offensive (historically been used to mock and demean)? But German accents may not carry the same negative historical/cultural baggage?
Perhaps this is more in line with the first one.
Or they thought making a political joke about Israel is anti-Semitic, which I didn’t think this one was (I’m no expert).
