Pretty sure that the point OP is trying to make is that the equal rights of LGBTQ+ people should be as unassailable if not moreso than the right to ursine limbs.

To the shock of absolutely nobody approaching the matter rationally, it turns out that flooding a country with legally obtainable death tools with little to no safety regulations leads to an overabundance of murders and accidental deaths involving said tools.
there are a lot of rules and regulations regarding buying guns… definitely not effective enough, but not “little to no” regulations….
and i know you’ll hate me for saying this buuuut: 3D printing gun technology has advanced a lot in recent years.
a motivated killer will definitely be able to make one for a few hundred bucks.
we could definitely do a lot more with kids getting access to their parents guns, but it’s a cultural problem that makes americans shoot each other.
btw, the sandy hook shooter killed his mom in her sleep and took the keys to her gun safe…

I’m not a 2A nut. I do have guns, but they’re locked up on my mom’s farm so I can target shoot for fun. I think gun control needs to happen, but legislation alone won’t fix the issue.

Dismissing other rights isn’t the way to go though. It’s not a zero sum thing, giving up guns doesn’t get you other rights.
