I’d like to assume the people upvoting the idea of volunteer (or no) police departments are anarchists and absolute libertarians who are against any form of gun control, but those kind of posts are usually downvoted here.
Volunteers can still be well trained.

No I’m stating that people will do civil service without any pay. Police do need more professionalism and accountability not more pay.
