It’s happened that escapeees have done this. Not sure this a ‘hmmm’ so much as a ‘call 911 right now’ kind of thing.

Yeah. How dare somebody try to make sure criminals who have escaped from jail don’t get away or hurt somebody. It’s literally evil to enforce laws you guys.

Selling heroin isn’t violent, it still kills people…

Anyway, if you had 20% chance to win the lotto you would be playing every week wouldn’t you?

you’re more likely to be killed by someone not in jail. and even more so by a family member or friend. those escaping jail want to lay low.

They can’t lay low forever, they can’t get a job, what do you think they’ll end up doing to continue living?

Oh, that’s right, resort to committing more crimes.

No shit I’m more likely to be killed by someone not in jail, they’re not being detained! That person was in jail and is now out of it though and they have a background of criminal behavior, which means they’re an increased risk of violent behaviour and might as well be in the 20% that were in for violent crimes, you don’t know if it’s the case or not.

Can’t believe I have to defend the idea that if you see an escapee you need to call the police so they get brought back to jail. What’s wrong with you people?

Heck, they might as well be a child rapist or a serial killer. You. Don’t. Know. Who. They. Are!

And you’re more likely to be killed by a cow than a shark. Doesn’t mean they’re not dangerous. Just means I don’t live in the fucking ocean.

This is the type of controversial post I’m 100% here for.

Quick question. Do you call the cops on Andy Dufresne?

Follow up, what is the likelyhood the person who answers yes also calls the cops on Red despite him being lawfully released?

I’d be willing to bet the number of escapees who are actually innocent of their crime they were convicted for is zero.

Do you call the cops on Andy Dufresne?

        I wouldn’t, no.

But on this guy? 100% He’s threatened to kill his murder victim’s kids if he got loose, and there’s no reason to believe he won’t. I think the police have far too much power and prisons are the wrong solution in many cases, but some people aren’t fit for society and that fucker is a good example.

That’s fair, I guess. Was just a hypothetical. To everyone else’s knowledge Andy was a murderer etc.

Isn’t it kind of ironic that somebody using the infantile insult is telling someone else to grow up?
