I looked in my settings and under look and feel there’s a checkbox for “use private tabs if available”. I didn’t turn that on so I assume it’s set by default.
I’ve been using Sync since The Great Exodus. One feature I like is the “everything across the fediverse” view, but I’m not seeing that so readily in Connect.
Edit: oh, and thanks BTW for the link. Foggy brain searching for just “connect” didn’t work so good.

Wish I could tell you, it’s always functioned that way on my phone. It’s running Firefox on Android 13 if that helps
