I love this video clip. I understand John loved Yoko but you have to know when your partner can’t sing and shouldn’t join in a song. I can’t imagine what she was thinking believing that guttural noise was anywhere close to decent. I am just glad the sound engineers cut her off.

Yoko is a very good singer. When she wants to be. She’s in a few of John Lennon’s popular hits.

Are you implying she was trying to sing? I was under the impression the wailing was a delibrate, avant-garde choice. She’s pretty metal by today’s standards - I would even go so far as to say she was just ahead of her time.

Inserting yourself into your spouses dream performance with one of their musical inspirations, and intentionally voice diarrheaing into the microphone because you’re not getting enough attention, is pretty metal?

By all means, experiment with new forms of artistic expression. Go for it. But that was just about the least appropriate setting for it. Which, I guess, is an artistic statement in itself, which also demonstrates a complete disregard for everyone else, in the band, your spouse, and the audience.

I made the assumption that because she was with a band while they were singing that she was doing the same thing. That however appears to an unreasonable assumption now that I think about it more.

The drugs must have been better for this to fly.
