Who puts the straps under the ears? That’s just gonna put pressure on your nose and slowly pull the goggles off your face.

If you look closely you can see the masks had two straps one which went over and one which went under. Dr Boyce’s upper strap looks to be missing. You can see the indent on his hair where it used to be. I’m assuming the strap broke and they couldn’t source a new set of goggles so they just pulled off the bad strap and left the bottom one so it would at least stay on his face.

Memes aside, I am looking forward to these headsets to become cheaper, more mature, and widely available.

Being able to put a browser window where I want instead of using my pathetic meat hands to manipulate a smartphone touchscreen.

The ability to use rear facing cameras to look behind me to prevent assassination attempts.

Being able to translate stuff that I’m looking at, have an actual Heads-Up Display for important real life details (HP, mana, etc). Placing waypoint markers so you don’t get lost. A real life “ENHANCE” feature so you can just zoom in on shit.

Blocking ads would be annoying though. Very, very annoying.

I agree! I want all of those things, but I’m also going to chuckle at how silly it looks until we’re all accustomed to it. I feel like if Apple is embracing AR goggles, then there’s a good chance of it becoming mainstream.
