          Taking a moment to praise the current gen MX-5, the only attainable-by-a-normal-person car to my knowledge that has got smaller and lighter than its previous generation.

            Random ask, do you call it an MX-5 in person? I swear I have only ever seen MX-5 written, eg car magazines/auto blogs, everyone just says Miata irl.

              I always call it an MX-5, and so does everybody I know

              I own one (albeit a rusty 2005 NB model I bought for £600, not a new one unfortunately), so it gets spoken about a lot

              Are you from the US/another market where it’s sold as the Miata? Because here only people who are really into MX-5s would even know it gets called a Miata in some markets

                Oh that makes sense, there was a different comment/post a while back complaining about Mazda “retconning” Miata’s into MX-5s (American Market/Presumably to drop the Miata name) that brought this to mind.
