    There is often no alternative in private business either. Take Nestle for example. Go look up how many different brands they actually own. You may think you’ve boycotted them, but in fact you’re just buying one of their hundreds of other brands. We’re very late in the capitalist system now, and the power has been heavily consolidated. Many industries are completely dominated by 1-3 companies, and they all collude to eliminate competition.

      It’s not hard to find alternatives. There are thousands of companies small and large. No one group owns them all. A quick search online can show replacement to every nestle product. Or support small business and buy local. It’s people’s unwillingness to give up convenience or favorite brands that gives these companies all the power to begin with. I guarantee you have options on business. And if not then go on shark tank and start a new company.
