Could this k-hole be any worse??

Seriously though, did he OD on ketamine? Seems fairly uncommon, and like you’d need to take a decent amount?

With the rest of the findings, it’s totally within reasonable possibility. Tbh almost anything could have sent his body into a regal fatal behavior, looking at the combination of illnesses and meds on board.

Ketamine in therapeutic doses won’t often do it by itself. You can OD on enough of it, with death as a possibility. As you said, not common, and not at normal doses. But what would be a pleasant trip down the k hole for the average person isn’t a good idea for someone with pretty much any cardiovascular disease. Hell, some anaesthesiolgists won’t use it without a cardiac workup, though that’s also pretty rare from what I’ve been told.

He’d abused his body for decades. It sucks, I wish anybody struggling with addiction gets a chance to overcome it and live well. But as much as it sucks, it wouldn’t be surprising that his body just gave out under a therapeutic dose. At higher doses, it was inevitable

He was already suffering from physical and mental issues for years prior to his death. Maybe it would be very hard to kill a healthy person that way, maybe it wasn’t as hard in Perry’s case.

Looking back, he spiraled very slowly, then very quickly. It would shock me if foul play was involved.

Multiple grams simultaneously for a healthy adult IIRC and more with a tolerance. I have to imagine it’s difficult to even snort that much in a single sitting, let alone before you become unconscious.

But remember what ketamine was originally developed for: general anesthesia. You don’t need to take enough for its toxicity to kill you, just enough to induce a coma such that you’re unable to know you’re drowning in a couple feet of hot water.

You might want to read the parent comment again. It was talking about a fatal OD, not a k-hole.

I mean he literally opens with “Could this k-hole be any worse??” But I see your point about the follow up question about OD

I mean, from the description in this article it sounds like he did rails of K, went into the hot tub, and more than likely K-holed and drowned.

It’s not exactly farfetched. A k-hole is basically just falling asleep somewhat-maybe awake. Slipping under the water and not being able to react is entirely within reason.
