    What “allegedly”?

She’s on video stabbing the child.

    The child is dead.

The mother was also stabbed, but survived.

The attacker is back in jail (because she just got released shortly before this).

All of this is real. It happened. It’s on video. A boy is dead. A mother is injured. There is no wiggle room for reality. There is no deniability. Wish the news would gain some credibility to stand behind their reporting, so they aren’t afraid to report facts as facts. All this is, is just them blanket covering all of their stories as “maybe it happened, maybe it didn’t but WE certainly aren’t legally accountable for our reporting!”

Even with a 100% sure thing confirmed, they’re afraid of setting a precident that they actually report anything, because then their other shoddy reporting would be more transparent.

I think it’s legally “allegedly” until proven in court. Even if there’s video evidence of someone commiting a crime, police will say they are “investigating allegations” as the suspect is still innocent.
