Don’t get them mixed up - I hear getting your scrotum hit with a club hurts a lot more than getting your scutum hit.
I was present for a fight involving round shields yesterday. They seemed decent for melee, but not for arrows, and the mobility would probably be less important when you have a concorporal watching your flank.
