I have a hundred chokers for my fashion, and I cycle them every single day.

Currently, They are all stored in their original plastic sleeves.

This means my routine is as follows.

  • Pick up pile of sleeves
  • Select a choker by shuffling through the sleeves like they are cards.
  • unpack choker
  • place choker on for the day
  • remove choker
  • put choker back in sleeve
  • place sleeve back in pile

I find the task of sleeve management to be frustrating. And would rather have them all organized in such a way so that I may be able to view them, and choose them out as warranted.

What do you say is the best way to store them? (Product, Idea to make, anything)

Edit 1: A limitations I have is that I cannot install anything permanently to the apartment. 😖

Are the chokers somewhat adjustable to fit different size necks? Do you have any dislike or fear of giraffes? If yes and no, you might look into getting some giraffe dolls that are firm enough to basically wear and display the chokers and ease your selection.

You could even slightly decorate the giraffes to help in sorting them, supposing the wearing of chokers wasn’t enough for your tastes.

You could hammer 100 little tack/nails into a board and hang them vertically. They’d be a lot longer vertically then they are wide, so you could do like 25 across x 4 down. You could maybe even still keep the plastic sleeves on them.

Or find a big donut shaped pillow, with the same diameter as a neck, and put all them on it?

      The handy-person answer.

Assuming that my chokers are maybe 30 cm long with the chain, 2 cm spacing per choker, 25 chokers per row, 2 cm gap between choker vertical space.

Dimensions would be 126 cm tall and 50 cm wide.

Manageable, would need to find a place for it.

      Plushies are being considered!

I’d suggest the back of a closet door or similar!

This is essentially my idea as well. Hang em by the clasps. Even without permanently affixing something, a few quick-assembled rods with hooks, held in place with a suitable amount of command strips or similar no-damage hanger.

Pro tip: don’t hang stuff by the clasp. The weight can stretch them out if they are made of junk metal (most are).

Instead, hang them by the ring/chain the clasp clasps onto. You can use upside down earring hooks to string them up if you have a pack of spare, otherwise small head finish nails can usually accommodate the chains.

Oh nice! I don’t wear any necklaces or similar jewelry, but I’ll keep that in mind.

Sounds like you’d benefit from one of those large keyrings.

They open up at a single point, so in the morning you can see which one you want, move the entire circle of chokers around so that one is next to the opening, open it up, and grab the choker.

Also, no installation to the walls.

I thought it said chonkers and I thought they were asking some theoretical intellectual question about 100 obese cats

That is also how I originally read it.

My initial thoughts were, how this one achieve this crazy expensive feat.

Feeding 100 cats until they are all obese, along with housing and vet bills…

      Hopefully you feel better soon!

Personally the best way to store 100 chickens is to let them be free in a field!

A rod of some kind - like a shower rod - that you can hang them all over and easily peruse them.

Go to the hardware store and get some pex tubing, and a shark bite union fitting.

Cut the tubing to the size you want, use the fitting to close the loop. The fitting can be removed by pressing on the ring around where the tubing goes in. They’re may be a tool that will make this easier.

So you can put all your chokers on the ring, then rotate the one you want to the opening

If they can be attached to each other end to end you can spool them around a stick loosely and remove from one end and add to the other, like a 100 element FIFO buffer.

I like this thinking, but it falls into the trap that I then would have a very tricky time getting an element in the middle of the buffer.

You could get one of those drying rack things with all the hooks/clips, put them all on that, then spin it and grab one at random
