My workflow generally includes a lot of tweaking with gimp, which I find I have to do if I want to get that very specific and controlled inhuman aspect I go for as opposed to either realistic anatomy or just a complete fucking visual mess. For instance I had to start by generating the first part horizontal because it couldn’t figure out what a symmetrical eye would look like let alone an upright one. Last step will probably be to try and get some of that gloss back once night cafe has given me some more free credits again. It started interpreting the lowlights as lines so I had to smooth them out a little. This has actually helped a lot with my workflow and after my credits have stocked back up I might reapproach that ophanim-cthulu divine-eldritch project from a while back.

I couldn’t get it to render that way initially so I got the bulk of the work done first with some attention along the way to keep it symmetrical then just flipped it.
