This might be my last round of comic panels for at least a few days.

I’m leaving America with my daughter, possibly forever, in a little under 15 hours, and emigrating to the UK.

I want to post more, especially since it is a bit of time away from anxieties, so if I have time on the plane or train or whatever, you will see more from me!

Thank for giving us all a fun break from reading about serious issues!

Good luck with the move. One thing I always like about traveling is that it reminds me there are lots of good people to meet.

Thanks. We actually have to visit France because my daughter will only be there on a tourist visa since my citizenship doesn’t transfer to her. So when she gets the family visa (which requires me to have a job above a minimum annual pay), the requirement is that she has to enter the UK with it. This means we’re going to the nearest French airport to the Chunnel to meet her mom there and re-enter.

Now as far as visiting on holiday, that may take a while. Now that I am close, though, I am determined to visit Guédelon Castle.

A new 13 century castle, interesting!

There are a bunch of newer finished ones too ;-)

        All the best 💖

Good luck with the travels! If I recall right, you’ve been planning this since shortly after the election results were announced, right?

Anyway, take your time settling in. You and your daughter are more important than internet communities.

The UK immigration doesn’t have a quick turnaround. He’d have to apply way earlier than that, especially considering he’s from a first world country and not a refugee.

Thanks! And yeah, not a problem for me but getting family visas for my wife and daughter will require me to get a job making at least £29,000 a year. Which is not a real challenge, but I am going there without a job lined up already. I can really only justify being there for two months without finding work based on what we have saved, but I do have some interviews already lined up, so I’m optimistic.
