Here is a fun little thought experiment. What if the billionaire class was working with conservatives to bring about the collapse of democracy worldwide so that they could start their own little self governed authoritarian corpo-states with a CEOs as kings and regular people as menial labor slaves?
This does sound like a conspiracy theory, so take it with a grain of salt…but remember when the richest man in the world (who wants to colonize Mars) gave a certain salute at the Capitol Building with plenty of other billionaires looking on?
I think they underestimate Trump being dictator. While Trump is around, the kingdom is strong. They don’t have enough personal knights to resist his will. He would work to please them, but the US military is absurd. Impossible for lords to stand against. No castle would be safe.
On top of that, Trump already has the MO of eliminating competition. He picked Vance because he is weak. He ousted McCarthy for having sway in the party outside of Trump. Musk wants independent power, and that will be his downfall. He’ll orchestrate a Night of Long Knives eventually
After Trump is gone and the US government is weaker? Yes. Under Trump? No.
