Cassidy had said he needed to hear an unequivocal statement from Kennedy that vaccines do not cause autism and indicate he would listen to well-established science on the matter. It was unclear whether Kennedy had made that assertion.

“I will vote yes” Cassidy said.

    Absolute spineless fucks.

Some will say “RFK Jr. just said it privately”, but if that is the case, then it’s fucking worse.

Sounds like SCOTUS hearings… Clarence Thomas is not a rapist and neither is Brett Cavanaugh! No Republican SCOTUS justice would ever dream of overturning Roe v. Wade! They say so and they mean it, honest!

BTW, I just got a thought. With RFK’s past (not talking about the brain parasite and his paranoid delusions in the last 10-15 years) and, ahem, manner of speech, is it possible he just has well-masked Aspergers himself?

That would explain the part about “vaccines causing autism”, because, say, my dad was terribly afraid of psychiatrists and had a weird idea that one can “get” autism, and, as you might guess, he was kinda clearly undiagnosed autistic. Or maybe diagnosed and hiding it.

So - RFK is of the older generation where the stigma was stronger. Maybe part of his conspiracy theories is from denial of his own condition. He definitely does seem like a person with strange facial dynamic.

No. The answer is no. Yesterday Kristi Noem was in New Orleans and said, unironically, “We are a nation of laws”

      Nope.

We’re watching the dissolution of our federal government.

It’s over. We actually lived to watch the fall of the American empire. And the 2A enthusiasts are nowhere to be found.

Among the worst nominations. Every time I think anti intellectualism has reached a peak, I am proven wrong again. Genuinely infuriating watching this happen.

I’m in Louisiana and Cassidy is toast. He’s not going to be reelected because of the impeachment vote. I was hoping he’d actually not cave but he’s towing the line for no reason. The whole thing is over in 4 years we’ll probably be a lawless wasteland with rampant corruption and disease.

We are, quite literally, the new Russia. Hope everyone likes their standard of living. Cuz that’s where we’re headed.

There’s one good thing in this all - Americans will learn bravery.

That quality tends to naturally diminish, especially when your country is the hegemon of the world.
