Summary
Elon Musk’s powerful role in Trump’s administration has sparked concerns over divided loyalties and unprecedented influence in government.
His plan to slash federal agencies, notably USAID, risks undermining America’s diplomatic, economic, and security interests domestically and abroad.
Meanwhile, his booming Tesla operations and extensive financial ties with China have significantly boosted his wealth and global market position.
Critics and lawmakers warn that prioritizing personal gain over national security may erode U.S. influence, inadvertently empowering rival powers and destabilizing international order.
Musk serves his class, which benefits himself personally but also other billionaires. The other master is the master of all of us, capital.
Short answer: No.
Long answer: He only serves himself. There are no two masters.
He serves his class, he is not alone.
He is rich enough to be his own class.
Class isn’t determined by wealth it is determined by relationship to production. He’s still just a bourgeois capitalist. But I don’t think you’re off base. There could be certain social divisions among the ruling class, so that its possible Musk is actually trying to dominate the ruling class. These experiments are limited by material considerations, like law, infrastructure, economy, availability of natural resources or labor power – but he’s definitely trying something with these incredible stunts. No reason to believe someone in Musks position wouldn’t try something like that.
I also think that a critical mass of the ruling class is supporting him, cheering him on even. So I’m not sure that those class divisions exist in a way that would create an opportunity to actually dominate, but perhaps to lead?
For now I still only see the national ruling class and international ruling class, divisions created by the proliferation of international capital. The internationalists need the national capitalists, but musk seems to be burning through the capitalists of a number of countries, particularly in the EU that doesn’t support Musk’s far right flirtations with fascism.
Worse. Just himself.
He literally is a dumbfuck of a solipsist who believes everything is a simulation, all of us are NPCs, and he’s the only true real person. It’s just solipsism with extra dumb steps.
He thinks he’s Rick Sanchez playing the Roy: A Life Well Lived game and “going off grid” or some dumb shit.
He literally serves no one but himself.
He thinks he’s Rick Sanchez playing the Roy: A Life Well Lived game and “going off grid” or some dumb shit.
Fuck. I hate how accurate this is.
Musk’s latest performance art: Statesman or Xi’s middleman? The man who privatized Mars now brokers geopolitics, conveniently aligning his battery factories with Beijing’s territorial hallucinations. Tesla’s Shanghai megafactories aren’t just assembly lines—they’re loyalty pledges wrapped in lithium.
Meanwhile, gutting USAID to please the MAGA base while China’s Belt and Road scoops up the rubble? Brilliant. Nothing secures legacy like handing adversaries the shovel to dig your grave. Taiwan’s “special administrative zone” fantasies and TikTok acquisition rumors? Just harmless eccentricities, right?
Funny how “full self-driving” requires regulatory capture in both hemispheres. But who needs sovereignty when stock valuations hinge on appeasing autocrats? The real autonomous feature here is Musk’s moral compass—preprogrammed to evade ethical waypoints.
I didn’t read this. Are the two masters Racism and Greed?
No, pretty sure they’re War and Famine.
It’s misery and famine, it’s a force we cannot see
Misery and famine, it compels us naturally
Misery and famine, great ellipse, we bend to thee
Misery and famine, just accept your vagrancy
Just going by that thumbnail, he could be jerking off two masters.
Double air dicking.
Ski pole-ing.
Ketamine is his only master.
Didn’t he meet with Putin a little while back? I’d think he’s probably serving him as well. Especially in light of the wrecking ball tactics.
