Yeah that doesn’t make any sense.
Nobody is immune from this thinking, unfortunately. For some older folk it’s LGBTQ people, for some younger people maybe it’s neopronouns (I remember recent drama here about that), but we’re all susceptible.

it’s so weird to me how people will upvote something saying neopronouns are valid then turn around and scream at drag for “trolling”
it’s not that difficult to be accepting :/i think the trolling wasn’t about neopronouns, but about telling people to commit self harm and stuff like that
though i only know about stuff after drag was banned so i might be wrong
A lot of people threw a fit about saying “drag” and cited things drag did that were bad, as if doing something bad has any bearing on pronouns. It’s like if I started misgendering people for being assholes, that’s not okay just because they’re an ass.
oh yeah now i remember the stuff people were saying about how “dragons arent real so i wont use drag pronouns” or some other stupid crap like that.
i totally agree with you, people should use anyone’s correct pronouns even if they don’t like the person.
