I mean, is anyone surprised? You let nazi fucks “protest” (ie. intimidate) without issue then sure, the people of the neighborhood are gonna rise up to protect themselves.
It doesn’t make them right but it also isn’t surprising in the least.
The community of roughly 3,100 people has contracted with the sheriff’s office to patrol the village since it disbanded its police department in 2014 as a cost-cutting measure.
They got rid of an ineffectual police force, contracted a local sheriff, who’s only action during a literal nazi protest was to protect the nazis. Can anybody blame them for taking up arms to protect their community? Is that not what all those mouth breathing second amendment gun nuts hyperventilate about everyday? All it takes for an official to do something is for a black man to take up arms, and all they’ll do is disarm him. This country, but especially republican led enclaves of ignorance, is going downhill faster than I can properly iterate. we’re fucked, and it’s because a bunch of brain dead racist dipshits were led around by the nose of their bigotry into electing a fascist nazi sympathizer.

A deputy asked Meister if he’d like them off his property. He said he let them stay the night, but that has since turned into a week – and a tent is now in the center of the lot.

it depends on the kind of property. some people own large meadows and they don’t care if some weirdos picnic there or whatever, as long as they don’t harm the animals. it’s actually nice.
If an armed man who is not a police officer approached me and my vehicle you best believe there is going to be justified vehicular manslaughter/homicide involved.
