[email protected] is still very popular but I saw the writing on the wall and jumped to make an alt [email protected] because people had gripes with the Midwest admin and I wanted to prevent an inevitable Lemmy.world alternative from appearing.
And now we happily co-exist. Theirs tends to focus more on the political while I like to also post the more mundane, slice-of-life, articles

Mod decisions always baffled me, both on Reddit and Lemmy. We aren’t immune to it.
But here it’s a lot easier to set up a new home.
