The game is life has an interesting enough premise to be a limited series. If done correctly I think you could do some awesome storytelling with it.

Basically, Earth is a simulation (The Game) used to teach young inhabitants of a planet called Tygon how to live a good life by letting them live multiple lives on Earth. Most Humans are NPCs but many are real people, and the decisions they make on Earth affect how much they earn.

The simulation has replaced schools, sports and entertainment, financial system, and is one’s primary way of earning funds to set them up for the rest of their life after they turn 18, at which point they can no longer enter the simulation.

Some world building from the books:

    • wonders or ancient monuments are Easter eggs left over from the beta testing period
    • you can purchase buffs for your human avatar to try and influence what kind of life you have on Earth, but your desired outcome is never guaranteed
    • one lifetime on Earth is approximately 2-3 weeks on Tygon. After a short recuperation period one can re-enter and live out a new lifetime, hopefully subconsciously taking back lessons learned from past experiences to live a more fulfilling life.

Won’t spoil the rest but I could see it either become a hit or a flop.

Mass Effect would be a cool high budget tv show. Babylon 5 is similar, of course.

I think Dishonored would make a great TV series or a movie. The setting and lore are just on point

I’d personally like to see a TV adaptation of Equilibrium, without the gun-fu - just the concept of an emotionless society is interesting.

And 28 Days Later as a TV series.

They announced an Illuminatus series in 2019, and I haven’t heard anything since. I hope COVID didn’t kill it.
