I haven’t seen a generation fuck themselves harder than GenZ has fucked themselves.

Guess that gives them practice for their OnlyFans accounts.

They gonna learn the hard way.

        Speaking as a Millennial who has worked at several colleges;

GenZ didn’t fuck themselves, they were fucked by GenX and older Millennials… AKA their parents and, to a certain extent, educators. Who, for some reason, decided to not pass on a single fucking skill they were taught as kids.

Seriously I have been around people just 10 years or so younger than I am who cannot make change, read cursive or analog clocks, or even use a mouse.

          Eh.

I can’t look at how GenZ voted in the last election and pretend like they didn’t fuck themselves.

I get that public education plays a role and that’s largely up to their seniors and government to provide, but self-education is also a thing and a lot, if not most, of what I know in life was through self-education. And in the year of our lord 2025 everyone has access to all human knowledge, so not self-educating is a failure on the individual’s part.

You don’t have to be a genius to make smart decisions for yourself. You just have to have eyes and ears and use them responsibly.

I agree but I feel that you are missing the importance in being educated on how to learn. Having access to all of human knowledge means nothing if you don’t know what to do with it.

The large majority of the people I am referring to in my previous comment seem to be allergic to learning or at least convinced that the learning part of their life is finished.

try to cancel student debt, Republicans block it

“Democrats just aren’t trying hard enough!”

Democrats suspend payments while they figure out a way around the Republican blocking measures

“This is purely performance, if they cared they’d cancel it! Both sides!”

Republicans get majority control over Executive and both halves of the Legislature, start collecting again

“Democrats just aren’t fighting Trump hard enough!”

It’s amazing how Trump could literally do anything on stage and still get votes but Kamala had a single major flaw with Gaza that was STILL less unhinged than Trump’s Gaza positioning and got absolutely torn to shreds. Amazing.

problem is Democrats are a faux savior

might appear to fight and be on our side but at the end of the day just as bad as Republicans and do just as much harm

case in point Democrats fought against segregation and even said it out loud but at the same time Democrats prop up a raciest fuck that did not want his kids going to desegrated schools and even got him elected later in his career

both sides are not on the peoples but the owner class side

If you seriously argue democrats opposed integration when the democrat president forced southern states to comply and those same opponents went on to leave the party and join the republicans then you’re too ignorant of history to have this conversation. Full stop. I have a lot of issues with the party but you literally have no idea what you’re talking about. It was the GOP plus a handful of “Dixiecrats” that pushed back. The Democratic Party ended segregation.

Go open a book. I’ve linked strom thurmond’s Wikipedia page to get you started.

I’ve had to restart payments after a years long period of protest. They told me my loans were as good as done a while ago. I still have that email. But now they’re threating to garnish my wages, so I have no choice. Feels bad man. I never defaulted.

    good luck collecting

minimum wage and other wages stagnated

housing and food costs alone are more than average paychecks

teachers make less than police in most places and other four-year degree jobs are not all high paying or available

Wage garnishing is a very useful tool for a government captured by cruel interests. Since it’s been decided student loan debt can never be forgiven, this is the only way to collect on that during the loaner’s lifetime. Basic food and housing be damned.

That will discourage people from working in the formal economy and encourage them to work in the informal economy. Another added bonus is no income tax on under the table jobs…

Okay but I remember reading something about them sending loan debt to collections… I’m not sure if that ever actually happened… But if they did… Then wouldn’t that mean you could get it wiped away?

Collections will never stop harassing these people, which actually is the point of this maneuver. Harassing those who are financially disadvantaged.

If the debt is bought by a private company who does debt collections, they absolutely will stop coming for it. You just have to be able to evade them long enough and eventually it gets written off.

The thing with student loans is that the gov will hold your loan and just garnish wages till you die or pay them back + interest. Death will probably come first.

The collections they speak of are usually protected in some manner. Approved lenders by the government. Believe they can only be discharged in bankruptcy if you can prove unique situations, which if it’s happening to millions of people, I imagine a judge would find it hard to call unique.

I have student loans and here’s whats happening to me. My loans are in forbearance. I applied to the SAVE plan but because Republicans hate everyone it was challenged and my loans set to forbearance. No interest is accruing and no payments due. My servicer sent me a letter stating that I have until June 2026 to change my plan but it should be in forbearance until then. SHOULD BE…

Until next year I’m just paying it down when I can. Put up $2k last month. Still owe $68k. Gonna aggressively pay it off.

    years-long

Holy shit. Someone used a hyphen. It’s been years since those were spotted in the wild, and so long that they were thought to be extinct.
